One for all
Thank you for the wonderful article about my classroom ("Learning to Grow," August/September 2004). I feel so special and so pleased. One of my favorite parts of the article is the short paragraph on the first page that begins, "About our school visits." So many teachers in my school building are doing the same things I'm doing – and then some! I've continually tried to make that point all this past year, so I was very pleased to read that paragraph in the article, in which you say that, in acknowledging one teacher, you're acknowledging all teachers.

Chart correction
In the "Kids With Character" feature that appeared in our August/September 2004 issue, the first element in the chart at top of page 63 should read "Cooperation," and not "Consideration." The same correction applies to the chart's appearance in the Bonus Curriculum section of our website. The five categories on the chart (Cooperation, Assertion, Responsibility, Empathy, Self Control) were suggested by Responsive Classroom®. We regret these oversights.

National Handwriting Contest
