Inspiration for new teachers
I am sitting here with your August/September issue in front of me, reading about your Hawaii visit. Wonderful copy!
I was interested to hear about your museum classroom visit (see "A Museum You Can Touch," this issue). I am consulting with an Arizona school system to help integrate the huge numbers of new teachers they are employing. I'd like to get a copy of your October issue for each of the 65 new teachers I'll be working with so they will be inspired to create a museum or similar learning environment in their classrooms.

I have volunteered at an elementary school three days a week for 24 years. Two of my previous pupils are now in their third year of college. They plan to be teachers and Teaching K-8 will be a great graduation gift.

Mahalo from a cover model
Boy, I was in shock last week when I saw the issue ("Aloha from Hawaii," August/September 2005). How cool is it to see yourself on the cover of a magazine?! I'd love to have copies to share with my students from last year's class. Thank you again for honoring me with such an incredible article.
