Plus and Minus
Art/Math Use this art project to illustrate and develop the concepts of positive and negative, plus and minus or fractions. Have each child select two pieces of construction paper in contrasting colors, with one sheet twice the size of the other. Provide shaping scissors for children to divide the smaller sheet into two or more sections. Then glue them onto the larger sheet.

The Plus and Minus Game
Students will work on their place value, addition and subtraction skills while playing this fun game.

Plus or Minus
Students will solidify their understanding of addition and subtraction of small numbers (10 or less) and develop problem solving skills using math based strategies.

Hands-Up Math
During this lesson, students learn how to recognize and can explain the meaning of various signs and symbols used in math, such as add, subtract, equal, multiply, divide, and square root. Students will also create a set of distinctive patterned numerals and signs to use when depicting math operations.
