Today's Classroom Activities :
Egg-sperimenting!
The Same, But So Different
Science Compare and contrast a raw egg with a hard-boiled egg. Make a simple chart or use a Venn Diagram. Reach beyond the physical differences: Can both types of eggs be colored? Cooked? What form(s) of matter are in each?
For more Egg-cellent Egg-speriments make eggs squeeze through tight spaces and bounce into the air with these experiments by John Cowens.
This "Eggs-ceptional" Art lesson by Education World uses egg-based paints to make "eggs-ceptional" eggs for a colorful window display. The decorations will look great on your classroom walls or on a bulletin board -- but they make an "eggs-specially" nice display on classroom windows because the light shining through them creates a stained-glass effect.
Science experiments are a good way to develop vocabulary and introduce the scientific method to your English language learners. Use these four experiments with eggs that make learning fun!
