Movement and Motions

A Myriad of Movements
Science/Phys. Ed. Take a trip to the playground. Explain what kind of movement each piece of equipment requires: pushing, pulling, sliding, spinning, etc. For a related show and tell, have students bring in toys that require different movements (forces) and invite the children to show how to set the various toys in motion.

Forces and Movement
The student will investigate the effects of force on the movement of objects.

Changes in Motion: Push & Pull Lesson
Students will study and demonstrate the difference between the forces of motion "push" and "pull."

Flatfish in Motion: A Movement Activity
This lesson introduces students to flatfish, how they look and how they move. They will use large motor skills and participate in a movement activity that relates to flatfish.

Moving Molecules Game
Students will imitate the movement of molecules in a variety of situations to assist them to visualize and better understand the concept of the constant motion of molecules.
